School Lunches

LUNCHES ARE £2.30 A DAY AND NEED TO BE ORDERED IN ADVANCE ON PARENT PAY.

Key Stage One - Universal Free School Meals

All pupils in Key Stage One are entitled to a free school meal, all you need to do is order them in advance on ParentPay. The children often eat a wider variety of food at school than they do at home due to eating the same food as their peers and it is a great way of ensuring your child has a hot meal mid-day during the winter months.

All Year Groups - Benefit Linked Free School Meals

During these difficult economic conditions, some family circumstances may have changed.   Consequently, some families may now be in a position where their children are eligible for free school meals.  Children in all year groups may be eligible for these. To qualify for benefit linked free school meals, you must be in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:-

  • Income Support
  • Job Seekers Allowance – income based
  • Employment and Support Allowance – income related
  • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income that does not exceed £16,190)

If you think this could be the case, or are unsure, full details of the scheme can be found on the local authority website. Please click on the link below for further information or to apply: https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/education-learning/apply-free-school-meals

Reasons to apply

Even if your child is currently receiving free school meals because they are in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, you should still apply for benefits-related FSM if you think you may be eligible.

Doing so means that your child’s school will be given extra funding for six years, which can help to fund valuable teaching and learning support for your school.

Applying for benefits-related FSM also means you will be eligible to receive funding for the holiday periods from the Warwickshire Local Welfare Scheme.
